Dear Friends of HMI,

The Dolly Parton Imagination Library, in partnership with Hometown Mentors, Inc. provides a free book each month to the babies of Cameron County, PA.  Each registered child with a Cameron County address, receives an age appropriate book FREE each month.  Take a look at the program by clicking here

Parents do not pay anything in order for their pre-kindergarten little ones to receive the free books.  Hometown Mentors, Inc. partners with county agencies, foundations and private donors to raise the money to fund this worthwhile program.  It costs approximately $2,000 per year over all.

The cost of the books is only $25 per child per year.  Currently there are over 70 babies registered and a great big thank you goes out to the Cameron County Commissioners for funding the initial year of the partnership.

We are now asking for donations from the public to raise funds to cover the cost of the program going forward.  We want to be able to guarantee Cameron County young ones will be able to continue receiving these books.  Do you have an extra $25. to give to HMI to continue this program.

HMI is all volunteer with no paid staff.  Our mission is, in part, to bring national programs such as the DPIL into Cameron County.  We partnered with in 2014 to receive over $15,000 for the Prospect Park Playground revitalization, from their national grant program.

We love Cameron County because we grew up there and we want to be sure this national program continues for the future generations.

Donations of any amount may be made payable to Hometown Mentors, Inc.  and mailed to: P.O. Box 394, Yeagertown, PA 17099.  100% of the donations will stay in Cameron County and be dedicated to this Dolly Parton program.

The children receiving books, must have an address in the Cameron County. (15834, 15861, 15832)  Area and register for the program on line  Click on Check Availability.
