We have “Black Friday” with massive amounts of people in retail stores beginning the buying season for Christmas giving.
We have “Shop Small Saturday” to help local merchants realize the best profits of the year. This day also allows local shoppers to find out what is available in the small stores in their small towns, which is a really BIG thing.
We have “Cyber Monday” where people can sit in the comfort of their own home, not getting trampled, and buy as many of their Christmas gifts as possible. Millions and Millions of dollars are spent on line that day.
Now, we have “Giving Tuesday”, Tuesday, December 1, 2015. This is a global date for giving to the charity of your choice and we hope that you will decide to participate in this giving campaign.
For Hometown Mentors, the hashtag is #givingbacktothefuture of your hometown and the dollars collected will go toward a new Girls Softball field at the Little League complex in Emporium. Also, money collected will pay for the website that will be the home for the various Hometown Halls of Fame. This is the first year that HMI is participating in the Giving Tuesday campaign.
All donations to HMI are tax deductible and you may earmark your gift if you have a favorite HMI project.
Donations are accepted by mail at the following address: Hometown Mentors, Inc., P.O. Box 438, Emporium, PA 15834. Diane Bolin, HMI Executive Assistant, will receive your gift, if sent in this manner.
Watch our “success video” to see how your donations have been used in the past.
Thank you so much for spending your time with us today. You are welcome to come back home with HMI, any time that you choose.
